II. Global Fintech Center Network
(I)
From June 20 to 21, Yan Cui, Vice President of Frontier Research Institute, and his delegation were invited to visit Nanning for research and held discussions with relevant departments, financial institutions and universities in Nanning to learn about Nanning’s achievements and experience in economic and financial cooperation and development with ASEAN and explore cooperation opportunities.

On the afternoon of June 20, the Frontier Research Institute held a thematic symposium with representatives from the Policy Research Office of the Nanning Municipal Party Committee, the Development Research Center of the Municipal Government, the Wuxiang New District Management Committee, the Economic Institute of the Municipal Academy of Social Sciences, the Municipal Financial Office, the Nanning Financial Group, the Guangxi Branch of the People's Bank of China, the Nanning Internet Financial Industry Association and other departments and institutions. At the symposium, the participants had an in-depth exchange of relevant measures taken by the Nanning Municipal Government and the industry association to promote industry-university-research cooperation, and put forward suggestions and opinions on further strengthening cooperation.

From June 24 to 27, Yan Cui, Vice President of Frontier Research Institute, and his team conducted a series of inspection and exchange activities in Beijing, visiting the American Chamber of Commerce in China, Beijing Financial Street Research Institute, Beijing Zhejiang Enterprise Chamber of Commerce and other institutions. Through in-depth exchanges, they fully understood the latest developments and cutting-edge practices of these institutions in the fields of financial technology innovation, cross-border investment, and industry research.
III. Research Center Activities
(I)
On June 28, the Financial Regulatory Technology Architecture Research Laboratory of the Frontier Research Institute held a closed-door seminar in Beijing on "The Application of New Generation Information Technology in the Foreign Exchange Management Industry". Experts from the laboratory gave an in-depth interpretation of the current status and future trends of emerging information technologies such as privacy computing, blockchain, and knowledge graphs. The event was supported by the Hebei Branch of the People's Bank of China and financial institutions under its jurisdiction. The meeting discussed the latest developments and prospects of digital transformation under the new foreign exchange business policy, as well as the challenges and solutions faced in technology applications. Representatives from the Hebei Branch of the Bank of China, the Hebei Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China, the Hebei Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Shijiazhuang Branch of China CITIC Bank, the Shijiazhuang Branch of China Minsheng Bank, and the Shijiazhuang Branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank attended the meeting.
IV. Institutional Interviews and Exchanges
(I)
On June 7, representatives from the Organization Department, Development and Reform Commission, Xicheng Park Management Committee, Talent Development Center, Cultural Promotion Center and other departments of the Xicheng District People's Government of Beijing visited and investigated Zhejiang University Beijing Research Institute to strengthen the cooperation between the two sides and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation and development. The Frontier Research Institute attended the meeting as a pioneer in cooperation with Xicheng District.
(II)
On June 12, the Frontier Research Institute invited industry experts to exchange and discuss the issue of "data assets on the table". Industry experts from finance, investment, asset evaluation and IT system solutions and representatives from research institute partners participated in this event.
V. Partners
(I)
On June 5, ZIBS participated in the 2024 Beijing CBD Forum. Dean Ben Shenglin was invited to attend and host the first Beijing CBD Multinational Corporation Conference and the Beijing CBD New Quality Productivity Night Talk.
(II)
On June 21, the Frontier Research Institute was invited to participate in the "Party Discipline Learning Education Warning Education Conference" organized by the Beijing Research Institute of Zhejiang University. Through the interpretation of the "Discipline Rules", the discipline awareness and integrity of all employees were strengthened. At the same time, it also strengthened exchanges with the Beijing Research Institute, enhanced the political identity of both parties, promoted resource sharing and complementary advantages, and laid a good foundation for the in-depth cooperation between the two parties in scientific research, talents and other aspects in the future. In the next step, the Frontier Research Institute will formulate a cooperation mechanism with the Beijing Research Institute to jointly carry out multi-directional strategic cooperation.
